Four decades of Pinot noir 1972 – 2004

For the first time in the 2004 vintage, JURIS Estate in Gols in Burgenland produced a series of Pinot noirs which included four single vineyard bottlings from Gols (Unger, Reit, Breitenteil, Haide) and one from Breitenbrunn (Gross Kirchried, Goldberg, Weiern, Mitterberg). Vintner Axel Stiegelmar took this opportunity to exhibit the JURIS expertise with Pinot noir in a special tasting. The diversity of character, uniqueness of style, and capacity for ageing in an exclusive tasting of four decades of JURIS Pinot noir. This outstanding selection of wines stretching from the 1970s to current vintages was marked by exquisite highlights. The Pinot Noir Reserve 2001 was also praised in London at the annual Austrian Tasting put on by the Austrian Wine Marketing. The Times reported on March 12th.
