Demand for aromatic varieties increasing

We are pleased to acknowledge an increasing demand for aromatic varieties. Not only the Sauvignon blanc which is known at JURIS for its ripe minerality, but also the old traditional regional varieties Muskat Ottonel and Scheurebe currently enjoy increased consumer demand.

Is this really a trend or is it a market niche? Only time will tell. In any case, as of this year we have a wonderfully light, fine and aromatic Muskat-Ottonel in our assortment this year. Harvested from an old vineyard, this wine does not boast with voluptuous breadth, but with exceptional grace, elegance and lightness.

We were also able to produce a Strohwein this year. Grapes from the variety Scheurebe were dried for 4 ½ months on reeds. After recently completing its fermentation, the first tastings are very promising.

JURIS will allow their red wine blends St. Georg and Ina’mera longer bottle maturation in the future.
